I think practically everyone's heard of the famous Ayers Rock ...

What places are less well known, but which Aussies love to visit/explore?

So much to choose from

Hi Graham,

There are so many places to go to in Outback Australia.

The Kimberleys in Western Australia is a favourite destination. For people living on the east coast this is a long trip, and they can take adventurous tracks to get there.

My favourite places are in the South Australian Outback. The Flinders and Gawler Ranges, the famous Birdsville and Oodnadatta Tracks, and of course the challenging Simpson Desert.

The south east of Queensland has also beautiful spots, tiny towns, and lots of history to offer.

I don't need to go to a famous destination, just travelling through the Outback is wonderful, wherever you are. For many Aussies the best place is a billabong or river, anywhere, to throw in a line, and enjoy life.

Where would you like to go to?

Rita
