Staying here is the unique underground experience for the budget-minded travellers. Located right in the centre of Coober Peedy, it is only a short walk to shops and attractions. The Radeka has 10 motel-style rooms with private bath, fridge and TV. Even if it is boiling hot outside, you sleep in comfort about 3m underground.

The budget rooms and the dorm beds with shered bathrooms are even located deeper underground.

This was a working mine from 1918 until the 1960s. The Experience Motel is situated next to the Old Timers Mine Museum. A great place for your opal mining experience.

This large tourist park is situated close to the shops in the main street. The park offers a wide range of accommodation. You can choose a spacious holiday unit, cabin, budget room or bunkhouse bed with shared facilities.
There are ensuite powered sites, normal powered sites and unpowered sites for campers available. There's a camp kitchen, and I really enjoyed the undercover barbecue area.

Have you ever camped underground? At Riba's Caravan Park you can do this, and you won't even need a tent. There are also underground budget rooms with bunk beds. Above ground powered and unpowered sites are available as well.

The caravan park is situated about 5 minutes drive outside of Coober Pedy on the road to William Creek.
