Hi Graeme,

Rita'S Outback Guide is an information site only, not a travel agency, so I can't offer you a tour.

I did some research on the internet, lots of search results, but when you click a link it says, sorry no tour available, annoying.

Travelling to the Strzelecki or Birdsville Track is a long drive from Adelaide or Brisbane, and a long way to anywhere after you have finished the tracks. Obviously not what tourists are looking for.

I know there are some tours from Adelaide to Uluru and Alice Springs that do a part of the Oodnadatta Track.
If this is of interest for you, I could find out more.

Voyager 4x4 Adventures

My name is Jason King and I own & operate Voyager 4x4 Adventures. My recent guest Graham from Hamilton N.Z. told me that he found us through your site. I flew the boys from Brisbane to Birdsville where we spent 2 days (1 of which out in the Simpson Desert) then we headed down the Birdsville Track to Mungerrannie, Marree, Copley, Wilpena Pound, Arkaroola, Cameron Corner, Innamincka, Noccundra, St George before dropping them in Brisbane. The boys had an absolute ball as we stayed in Country Pubs each night and got to meet some characters along the way.
I have read through your email thread and it appears you had a few issues finding them a tour so I thought I should send you this email to:

B: Let you know that we cater to small groups like these guys all the time. We can plan, Book & guide tours all over Australia to some of the most remote regions. We run a small fleet of Nissan Patrol 4x4's that are registered to carry paying passengers and they are set up to be self sufficient for days on end and we also do regular Tagalong Tours & Driver Training right across the Country. TRIP REPORT

just to reinforce Jasons comments.

We had an absolute ball, covered all our bases and also discovered some new ones.

Jason as an excellent guide and he became one of our group very easily.

I would sure recommend his services to anyone else who is looking at doing a trip like this one. We had done previous ones by ourselves but it was well worthwhile having a guide who had done all the organising prior.
