YOUR Australian Outback stories...
...does that really mean readers can tell their own stories here on the Outback Guide?
Sure! :)
People are thrilled to hear about your travel experiences and adventures in Australia and the Outback. Hmmm, me too!
Our camp at Mount Ive station
With the growing success of Facebook, Twitter and MySpace I realised that internet users want to connect, share their views, stories and photos online. Why not build a community dedicated to Outback travel right here on this website? With your help and submissions it will work.
I started Rita's Outback guide for the very same reason. I wanted to share my love for the Australian Outback with the world. I was eager tell you about the places I've seen, and hopefully, help you with my knowledge to prepare your Australia trip of a lifetime.
There is still so much I'd like to add to this guide in the future.
To make this website even more useful to readers, it would be just great to read your stories and tips right here.
Of course, you are welcome to ask your travel related questions, as well. I will answer them, and other readers can
comment and offer more tips.
How does it work to submit your Australian Outback stories and questions?
Adding your story, photos and questions is dead easy:).
1.) You fill in a catching title that describes what your story/tip/question is about
2.) You tell your story, ask your question
3.) (Optional) If you have a photo upload it. Otherwise I might add a photo if I have one that fits.
4.) (Optional) Fill in your name and location. You don't have to do this, but why shouldn't you get recognised as a contributor? Don't be shy, first name is sufficient.
5.) Submit your contribution.
6.) On the next page you can edit what you've written by clicking on your text.
You are also asked to set your notification details. This is optional. You don't need to give your email address, although I highly recommend you do so.
Why should you give your email? Your story usually appears on the same page on which you used the submission form. Sometimes I move submissions to another page where they fit better in context. This makes it harder for you to find it again. If you set notifications to get the Url of your submission emailed to you, you always have the link to your page and you can follow comments by other readers.
I promise to use your email only to tell you when and where your contribution is published. Your email does
never appear on the website.
BTW, did I tell you that every submission has it's own page on the Outback Guide? You can email the URL to your family and friends, and can brag that you wrote a webpage! :)
It is really that easy!
